Fall Fun

This autumn in Atlanta has been one of the prettiest I can remember. We have a tree in front of the house that continues to dump the most gorgeous yellow leaves all over the yard. Daddy thinks they are making a mess. Momma thinks they’re lovely.

Now for a look back at some of what we’ve been up to in these last few weeks of fall…

We taught Alice how to carve a pumpkin. She was amused with this little jack-o-lantern.

We had a really fun visit from Mimi while Daddy was in California for a wedding. Alice loves it when Mimi comes to town. So does Anne! 🙂

Alice dressed as a little cow for her first Halloween. We had fun with Aunt Katie and Uncle Sean who brought over Caroline the giraffe for some Halloween chili.

Cousin Caroline turned one at the end of October and we had so much fun celebrating at her first birthday party. Actually, Momma and Daddy had fun celebrating. Alice slept through most of it. (Can you see those tired eyes? She’s a real party animal.)

The cooler night temperatures have given us reason to break out the hoodies and break in the fireplace in our living room. After a bath, Alice gets in her warm, cozy PJs and plays with us on a blanket by the fireplace. Jason has loved building fires for us after dinner, and it appears Alice may be equally as enamored with a good fire as her Daddy.

Just a few highlights from our wonderful fall. Now it’s time to get ready for a road trip to Belleville where we will be spending Thanksgiving week at Mimi and Big’s. We can’t wait!
