Alice is nearly two and every bit a toddler these days. She is a busy, busy girl and a proud big sister. In many ways, having a little sister has made Alice much more grown up. She has been very helpful since the new baby arrived which surprised all of us a good bit. Having Eleanor around has certainly brought out new characteristics of Alice’s personality. Some compassionate, curious, and kind…others a bit more mischievous and wild. But overall, she has taken to her new role as big sister with great pride and enthusiasm and helped make the transition into life as a family of four great fun for us.
It’s remarkable to go back and look at the last update I did of Alice at 18 months (has it really been so long since I’ve posted? yikes!). In those photos she looks like such a baby to me, and when I look at her now she really looks like a little girl. The transition over the course of the past few months has been such an awesome one to watch unfold. She has moved from a crib to a big girl bed. She can now speak in full sentences and remember the words to songs she loves. She can even sit and eat at the grown-ups table without using a high chair. The list of changes goes on and on, but suffice it to say…our baby Alice is a baby no more. She really is becoming a big girl! It’s been a true delight to watch her grow into this new age and stage with each passing day.
